Pricing Disclaimer

The prices for the procedures listed on this website include the facility fee, the surgeon’s fee and the anesthesiologist’s fee. The initial consultation with the surgeon is also included, as is uncomplicated follow-up care. The duration of postoperative care is different for each surgical procedure. Therefore, your surgeon will inform you at the initial consultation the amount of postoperative care covered by the price. The $200 initial consultation fee is applied to the total cost of the procedure should surgery be indicated. If surgery is not indicated the $200 will be retained by us. Our goal is for the price to be as transparent as possible.

As a bundled surgery provider, we typically treat patients who are an ASA Level I or II (American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status Classification System). For many patients, we are able to build bundles for patients who are an ASA Level III. Please contact us and our team will explain how it works. For patients who have had recent heart attacks, strokes, or other severe medical problems, we are unable to provide care.

Pathology

Standard pathology prices are included in our bundles, however, rarely, the pathology provider will find something abnormal that will require additional testing. This additional testing is not included in our bundles. This is usually only a small fee, and will never exceed $1,500.

Additional Diagnostic Studies

Any diagnostic studies necessary prior to the surgery such as labs, MRI, X-rays, consultations with specialists to determine medical risk/management, physical therapy and rehabilitation that are not part of the normal treatment plan. Only certain procedures include this in their price.

Hardware/Implants

Any hardware or implants necessary for completion of the procedure (plates and screws, e.g. for orthopedic procedures is included in bundled surgery price. On rare occasions, your surgeon may need additional or special hardware or implants and you will be informed by our team shortly after your consult. Any cost over and above what is included in the regular bundled surgery price will be billed separately.

Lodging and Travel

Any overnight stay at our facility can be arranged on a case-by-case basis for an additional charge. Certain procedures require an additional stay as part of the treatment plan, and this is included in the price. Lodging and travel expenses are not included in the price of the procedures. Though, we can help advise your travel plans since we have affiliations with local hotels that offer our patients a discount.

Complications

Expenses or fees resulting from complications subsequent to the completion of the surgery and discharge from the facility are also not included. We do offer the option of purchasing surgical complications insurance coverage from BLIS. The cost is very reasonable and your TMM team member can help you to find out the cost.

How We Keep Our Prices Low

To help keep our prices as low as possible, Texas Medical Management diligently works to keep our costs low. One way we do this is to eliminate the cost of processing the claims and the risk for non-payment. The prices listed are not negotiable and are available only to those who pay the entire amount in advance. Alternative payment arrangements can be made with human resource departments or divisions of self-insured entities if necessary. Once again, if you are scheduled for surgery at our facility and insurance is to be filed by us, these prices listed on our website do not apply to you.
