Dr. Ashley Agan began her academic journey at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a degree in Biomedical Engineering with academic honors. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her excellence in academics and compassionate patient care. She completed her otolaryngology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, one of the nation’s top programs. In 2020, she earned an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Agan spent seven years as a faculty member at UT Southwestern, holding leadership roles such as medical director and clerkship director. She specializes in treating ear, nose, and throat disorders, with a particular focus on eustachian tube disorders, including patulous eustachian tube. In 2024, Dr. Agan transitioned from academic medicine to open her own direct care practice, Scottie, named in honor of her late grandmother. Scottie is a modern ENT practice that prioritizes patient-centered care, innovative treatment options, and accessibility. She is also board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine, recognizing the critical role that nutrition, exercise, and behavioral changes play in preventing and managing chronic disease.
