Born in St. Joseph Hospital, Houston, Dr. George T. Kuhn, M.D. has dedicated over 35 years to serving the community. In 2020, he held the position of Chief of Staff at St Joseph Medical Center and is recognized as an authority on Subdermal Contraceptive Devices. Dr. Kuhn completed his education at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School and later earned a BS degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and specialized in Obstetrics & Gynecology through the Residency Program at St. Joseph Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Kuhn has occupied several significant leadership roles. He has served as the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center and was elected president of the Houston Gynecological & Obstetrical Society. As a Board-Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Dr. Kuhn contributes as a clinical instructor at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and holds the title of Assistant Professor at the Weill Cornell Affiliated Residency Training Program at Houston Methodist. Beyond his roles in academia, he has lectured extensively and contributed to medical textbooks. Furthermore, he founded Women’s Healthcare Associates. Professionally, Dr. Kuhn has a keen interest in high-risk obstetrics and specializes in minimally invasive gynecological procedures, including pelvic and vaginal reconstructive surgeries.
